Hi guys,
I just want to ask, how hard are these games?
I have never played a DQ game before ever
but I'm wanting to pick up the 3DS remakes at some point, you know to give a new game (for me at least) a shot~
Not to mention that this would be the first time us folks in Europe and the UK get to play the game, VIII being the first to make it to our shores back in 2006, so no surprise I have never played one before XD
Here is a list of some rpg games I have played and some I have seen my sister play over the years;
Xenoblade Chronicles- I'd say me and my sis have 96% completed this, just two super bosses left. -EDIT- Now reached 100%.
Xenoblade X- I have actually reached 100% survey rating in this one~
Final Fantasy X + X-2/ XII- My sister has reached 100% in these but I watched her do it.
Final Fantasy III/ XIII + XIII-2- I have just got to beat the final boss in III then I'm at 100%, reached 99% in XIII darn treasure hunter trophy n Long Gui lol and reached 100% in XIII-2.
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Ring of Fates + Echoes of Time- I reached 100% in the first and the second.
Tales Of Symphonia, Abyss, Graces F, Xillia, Xillia 2 and Zestiria- Only needed to master recipes in Symphonia, Zhonecage in Graces F, reached 100% in both Xillia games and reached 100% in Zestiria and Abyss.
Paper Mario 1/2/3/4/5- except filling badge books in the first 2 and doing the 3x 100 challenge in the 3rd, I beat everything else and reached 100% in Sticker Star (4th), also everything except 23 enemy cards in Colour Splash.
Pokemon Mystery Dungeon R/B Rescue Team/ EoT,D,S, everything but Zero Isle/ GTI/ Super- except 99f areas I got most stuff in these and I just reached 100% in Super~
Ni No Kuni- lol can't be bothered to get EVERY familiar but did everything else.
Pokemon series- stopped at Black but completed regional Pokedex's to the best of my limited ability haha
Fantasy Life- God ranked everything, twas very fun <3
Final Fantasy: 4 Heroes of Light- 99% just need to do the last extra tower but done everything else~
Fairune 1/2- Everything in both, except speedy trophy >w<
DQVII- everything except filling out enemy arena. DQVIII- Absolutely everything except the Dragovian bonus gauntlet with the dragons. The exp is meh and I can't be asked.
-EDIT- RPG's on the Horizon, ready to attempt 100% completion are, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, DQIX/DQXI, Chrono Trigger (thanks to my wonderful boyfriend) and Radiant Historia. Once that Tales Of game gets announced for Switch, there be that and if (oh I wish) that Ni No Kuni 2 gets a port to Switch, then there be that one as well X3
There are probably some more but off hand that is all I can think of at the moment~
So is DQ VII/VIII similar to any of these?
Are these good introductions to the series for a beginner, if not are there any after these that are?
I just got this urge to pick up a game from the series and with the recent announcement that these two are heading to 3DS (hope they aren't exclusive to New 3DS) I'm considering to start there. But I do not wish to waste money or be disappointed if it's too difficult to get into haha
Do not get me wrong, I like a challenge but not one that sees me dying over and over lol (I so hate repeating myself)
I don't mind grinding levels and such~
so any suggestions, tips, advice, anything comes to mind, then please let me know <3
